It is the 5th today so that means a new Anything Goes Monthly challenge at Bizzy Becs.
I have made a card for my friend's daughter. She is having a birthday and she is a total guinea pig fan.
At Christmas I was looking after their animals while they were away and unfortunately I had a mishap with her pet guinea pig and it ran away :(
I know a card won't make up for it but she does have 2 new ones now so fingers crossed I have been forgiven.
Hi, I am here with you today to share a little bunny love with the
ultra cute Bunny Stuffies Stamp by Stamping Bella.
I love this stamp as it is perfect for EVERYTHING!
And with Valentines coming up it would work perfectly too.
This time round I have made a Thank You card for a friend of mine who despite having 5 kids of her own is always available to take a couple of mine when needs must. She even met me at the doctors the other day and whisked 2 of my kids off.
She definitely deserves a Bunny Stuffies card.
And here is the card....
I coloured the image with promarker alcohol markers and layered it up on lots of pretty papers on a 6x6 background.
This week we want to see all things blue on your cards.
Not an easy task to get into the Winter swing when it is swelteringly hot outside and the middle of Summer here in New Zealand but I did my best....
I used Ice Skates from The Paper Shelter.
I coloured her with Promarkers.
The papers are digital papers from Raspberry Road, the snowflakes were cut using dies from spellbinders, the banner is from Memory Box.
I added liquid pearls as snow but I kind of regret that now.
I thought it was appropriate as a lot of people decide to lose weight as a New Year's resolution and she looks like she is exercising ;)
I have used promarkers to colour the image.
The papers are from my stash of 6x6 pads and I added some pearls around the image to give it a bit of bling.
Thanks loads for dropping by and be sure to come and play along with our challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge. You don't have to use TPS images to enter but if you do you can win a $30 voucher for the TPS shop. Fantastic prize.
This is now open Internationally Would you like being on the team at SGC?
We are a friendly tight knit team with some of us being here together for over 5 years! We are looking for a couple of new DT Lovelies to join us.
Sponsor images available to card makers that are on the team but we would also love scrapbookers, art journalers or MM artists to join the team. You need a blog or facebook page where you share your projects, a sense of humor and also be on facebook so you can communicate in the DT only group. You will be required to make 1 project every 4 weeks as the team is split in 2.
You can apply by sending a bio about yourself and a couple of samples of your work to email@example.com
October is a pretty busy Birthday month around here. We have our oldest and youngest's birthdays plus my dad who celebrated 80 years on the planet last week. It was lovely to see one of my brothers who visited from Australia for 10 days. It was cool hanging out with him and getting a few things done around our parents together.
But way back at the beginning of the month we had a pirate party, complete with a pirate ship cake. Which was no easy task to make. I am learning that as long as the cake looks somewhere along the lines of what they want and had lots of lollies on it the kids will be happy.
To go with the pirate theme I came up with a pirate card....
I used the Ahoy Matey stamp set by Lawn Fawn, available from Bizzy Bec's Online store. I cut the circle with a basic circle die and set some hand cut waves behind behind along with the boat. The images are coloured with copics.
Thanks for dropping by Lou
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges...
I actually made this as a sample card for a children's card making workshop I held in the holidays.
The children had lots of fun cutting out the animals with the Upon a Star Lawn Cuts dies and popping them off the card with foam dots. I also used Meadow Borders Lawn Cuts to make the hill the animals are sitting on. The white stars and sentiment are embossing powder.
Those more observant of you may have noticed I have been pretty quiet.
Well I have had a very sick son.
He has Osteomylitis and was admitted to hospital for a week a couple of weeks ago.
He could have lost his toe if not his foot if I hadn't kept pushing that something wasn't right about his "infected toe". After the third visit to our local practice we finally had some luck as the doctor we got was AMAZING! She got us booked into the hospital for an appointment with the orthopaedic clinic.
He booked an MRI for a few days later with a follow up at the hospital a day later.
When we arrived at the hospital following the MRI we arrived at clinic to find the specialist waiting for us and my son was rushed straight into the children's ward.
He was kept in for a week on iv antibiotics.
We are now home and he has a picc line and elastomerics and we are under hospital in the home care for the next 5 weeks.
It has been pretty scary!
